I've been working with crystals for over 12 years. Long enough to know what works, what's overhyped, and where the line between geology and metaphysics actually sits.

My background is in mineralogy. I came to crystal healing through the science end first: the structures, the formations, the physics of why certain stones behave the way they do. That's still how I approach everything I write. My first crystal was a $7 amethyst I picked up in 2013. It's still on my desk.

The practice deepened in 2018, when I went through a divorce and started carrying rose quartz and hematite daily. Not as magic, but as tools for staying grounded when everything felt unstable. That experience is the foundation of my philosophy: crystals support the work. They don't replace it.

I earned my Advanced Crystal Healing Certification in 2017 and have worked privately with 200+ clients since 2013 on protection, boundary-setting, and energetic grounding. I attend the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show every January, have dug specimens myself at quartz mines in Arkansas, and have studied historical crystal use at the British Museum and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

The carnelian, pyrite, lapis, and honey calcite on my Boulder desk have been there for years. I write from that desk. I don't move the stones, and I don't make promises crystals can't keep.
